Instructions
Instructions
-
Take the butter and peanut butter and mix in KitchenAid or hand held mixer until creamy and well mixed ~ just under two minutes.
Be sure the butter is at room temperature. Also, I use creamy peanut butter for this recipe. If using a natural peanut butter, be sure to stir it completely smooth before mixing with butter. -
Next, add the brown and white sugars to the butter mixture. Mix until smooth.
-
Add the egg, mixing until well incorporated.
-
Add the vanilla and milk, mixing until smooth.
-
Add the baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix until all ingredients are well blended.
-
Use a spoon or scoop a ball of dough. Put the dough ball into a small bowl of sugar and roll around until well coated.
-
Place the ball on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Taking a fork, press it into the sugar bowl (it's okay that only a bit of sugar will stick) then press down on the cookie dough balls lightly, leaving a fork indent.
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes or until the edges start to turn a light brown.
-
Once they are removed from oven, press a chocolate kiss in the middle while they cool. This will make the chocolate a little melty and more delicious!

Note
- Be sure your butter is at room temperature, otherwise the butter will clump in the batter.
- I use creamy peanut butter, but chunky will work also.
- Be sure to flatten the cookie dough ball with a fork to get that "peanut butter cookie" look.
- The chocolate kisses are optional, but make the cookie "oh so good".
